Broadway Inbound has announced the addition of four new shows to The Broadway Collection. The new members are among the best that New York has to offer and include A Night with Janis Joplin, Big Fish, Disney’s Aladdin, and Beautiful: A Carole King Musical. The shows join an already-existing group of New York City’s most highly regarded musicals and shows, selected for their unparalleled popularity with international audiences and put together by Broadway Inbound.

In addition to the Metropolitan Opera and 22 existing Broadway and Off-Broadway shows in The Broadway Collection, the following have joined:

A Night with Janis Joplin is a musical journey celebrating the inspirations of one of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s greatest legends. Janis Joplin exploded onto the music scene in 1967 for three incredible years, reigning as the Queen of Rock and was the must-see headliner of her time. Audiences will enjoy Joplin hits and classic songs alike in this new Broadway show that officially opens on October 10 at the Lyceum Theatre.

Based on the award-winning and critically acclaimed film, Big Fish will open on Broadway on October 6, 2013. Big Fish centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest and tells larger-than-life stories that thrill everyone around him. However, Edward’s son Will is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales in this musical about dreaming, loving and living bigger.

Aladdin, a new musical based on the Academy Award winning Disney animated film, will make its Broadway premiere in 2014. Adapted from centuries-old Arabian folktales including “One Thousand and One Nights,” Aladdin is the story of a street urchin who uses the help of a magic genie to win the heart of Princess Jasmine. The show will feature a full Broadway score including the five beloved songs from the film.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, a new musical based on the life and work of Grammy Award-winning musician Carole King, will open on Broadway on January 12, 2013. The musical score will include songs by Carole King and Gerry Goffin, as well as by their contemporaries, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.
