Kick off the month of July and summer vacation with Macy’s 38th Annual Fourth of July Fireworks live from the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. This year, Broadway star Idina Menzel, among other fantastic performers will pay special tribute to the Star Spangled Banner in honor of its 200th anniversary, so make sure to check it out if you are in the area!

As summer heats up, cool down with the kids at Coney Island Flicks on the Beach which hosts free Monday-night screenings of kid-favorites like Frozen and The Lego Movie on a 40-foot inflatable screen for July and August.

Summer celebrations continue for New York natives and visitors to the Big Apple alike with the special performance series Broadway in Bryant Park starting July 10th! From 12:30-1:30 pm on Thursday-afternoons, the cast of many of our Broadway Collection shows will be performing. Here is the schedule:

If you’re looking for even more entertaining activity, culture your comedy pallet with a taste of classic New York nightlife at the infamous Comedy Cellar which also boasts an upstairs space to dine and drink. The Comedy Cellar at the Village Underground is a second spacious location recently opened to accommodate the masses that flock to this hotspot (pun intended-with just one location visitors were previously left rolling in uproarious laughter and dripping sweat).

Once, the eight Tony Award-winning musical, has welcomed Jessie Fisher in her Broadway debut as female lead “Girl,” the role previously played by Joanna Christie.

Similarly, MOTOWN the Musical has cast Josh Tower as the new “Berry Gordy.” Tower previously starred in both The Lion King and Ragtime on Broadway.

In an exciting limited engagement, Friday, June 20 – Sunday, July 27, 2014, Tony Award winner and Broadway’s original “Pippin,” John Rubenstein will once again grace the stage. This time, rather than the titular character, he will fill in for Terrance Mann as “Charles” in the Tony winning Best Revival of a Musical, Pippin.
