In this classic American musical comedy, main characters Gabey, Chip, and Ozzie, make the most of their short time in New York City by visiting all of the Big Apple’s top attractions. The trio do more than just explore, they also take a chance at love, allowing their hearts to be stolen by three dream girls- Ivy, Hildy, and Claire. The show went on to become a film starring international sensations, Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, and hold’s classic appeal for older generations. Young audiences will also be engaged, as this revival drops the characters into a larger-than-life storybook of retro New York City, and is perfect for families with children eight and up.
Unique to this Broadway show, the winner of the prime-time reality competition “So You Think You Can Dance” (SYTYCD) season 11 (2014) will be offered the opportunity to join the cast of On the Town in spring 2015. Internationally, SYTYCD continues to enjoy success with its Australian, German, and British versions, among others.
