Charlie and the Chocolate Factory portrays the 1964 novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, written by the popular British children’s author, Roald Dahl. The story centers on the adventures of a young boy, Charlie Bucket, and four other children, inside of a chocolate factory, founded and invented by an eccentric man named Willy Wonka. Willy Wonka hides five golden tickets to his famous factory, which eventually gets discovered by these children with different backgrounds. Audience members will take joy in a delightful adventure as the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory continues on Broadway.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory retells the British novel, which has previously been adapted into two successful films, the 1971 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – both of which are recognized among international audiences.
As a part of The Broadway Collection, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory belongs to a group of New York City’s most highly regarded musicals and shows, selected for their unparalleled popularity with international audiences and compiled by Broadway Inbound. Tickets are available through international Broadway Inbound and Broadway Collection partners and domestically through the Shubert operated ticketing platform Telecharge.
