Escape to Margaritaville Shakes Up Broadway
A new addition to The Broadway Collection, Escape to Margaritaville shakes up the Broadway stage at Marquis Theatre early next year. Escape to Margaritaville is a musical comedy getaway featuring both original songs and most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including “Come Monday,” “Volcano,” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” This rousing and refreshing new production is choreographed by Kelly Devine and directed by Tony Award® nominee Christopher Ashley. Previews begin Friday, February 16, 2018, with the official Broadway Opening Night on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
While the show opens in the winter, travelers will be transported to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all, and the locals get into the kind of trouble they can almost always sweet talk their way out of. Audiences are invited to sit back, relax and enjoy a vacation from their vacation.
